The
Nansen Dairy was a Grade A dairy operated in Medford Oregon. The
original barn burned to the ground with about 300 ton of hammered hay
in it on August 6th. 1939. By September 29th of the same year, the new
dairy barn was rebuilt. It still stands near the Rogue Valley
international airport.

for the loss of hay, and other settlements for the machinery. |

The rebuilt dairy barn was owned by the Fisher Family, of Eagle Point.
On September 29th, the new milking stalls were opened for the first time.

During
World War II, the War Department took jurisdiction over the nearby
Medford Airport, setting up a guard house near the dairy. |

That new life came in 2005, when John Hardey began restoring the old barn. Construction work was done by Adroit Construction. |
|
The original rough-hewn columns and beam were carefully preserved |

Siding was redone. And a new roof installed |

The original construction was saved, with new walls built around the old framing. |
